Body Contouring

Post-Weight Loss Surgery

You did the hard work. The weight is gone. But loose skin can stay behind no matter how far you go. Surgery is how we address what diet and exercise cannot.

About the Procedure

What to expect with your post-weight loss surgery.

Significant weight loss — whether through bariatric surgery, GLP-1 medications, or sustained lifestyle change — reshapes your life. But excess skin often remains, and it can limit your comfort, your clothing, and how you feel in your own body.

Post-weight loss body contouring is designed to address that. Although the procedures vary based on where the skin is and how much is sagging, the goal remains consistent: a silhouette that reflects the work you have already done.

I approach post-weight loss surgery in stages. Trying to do everything at once creates a longer, riskier operation and a harder recovery. Staging allows each area to heal fully before the next procedure, and it lets us adjust the plan based on how your body responds. Most patients start with the abdomen, then address the arms, thighs, or breasts in subsequent stages.

If you have had a lap band, gastric bypass, or sleeve gastrectomy, I work around the hardware carefully. I have operated on many bariatric patients and it is absolutely manageable. If you have lost significant weight and are living with excess skin, we can help.
