You are a good candidate for RHA if you are 22 years or older and have moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles. You will receive the RHA filler injections at our office and the process takes about 25 to 30 minutes to complete. Our team will listen to your concerns to assess the appropriate amount and the location for RHA injections.
The injections contain lidocaine which will numb the targeted area as it is injected below the skin’s surface. If you are particularly sensitive, we can apply a topical numbing cream before the procedure. After the injections, we may gently massage your face to disperse the filler. You can expect to see results almost immediately after.
Very little recovery time is required if you receive RHA fillers in our Houston office. Most patients return to normal activity levels immediately after the procedure, although we may recommend avoiding intense physical activity for 24 to 48 hours to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
You might notice that treated areas appear overfilled with the substance immediately after the treatment but this should improve within hours. Additionally, numbing may last for a short period of time after the procedure. You can use topical icing and massage to ease most after-effects.
If your initial injections do not result in your desired results, we will assess whether additional injections are needed in the following weeks. Otherwise, RHA is designed to be longer-lasting than other fillers and has been shown to remain effective for up to 15 months.
